Battery Isolator Relay
A battery isolator relay is an electronic device used to isolate the charging system from the starting system in a vehicle. Its main function is to prevent the starter motor from being damaged by the high current generated during the engine starting process.
The working principle of the battery isolator relay is to use a relay to control the connection and disconnection of the charging circuit and the starting circuit. When the engine is started, the relay is turned off, cutting off the connection between the charging circuit and the starting circuit. After the engine is started, the relay is turned on, allowing the charging circuit to charge the battery.
The battery isolator relay can effectively protect the battery and starter motor, extend their service life, and improve the reliability of the vehicle's electrical system.
